Maritime Sign Language : ウィキペディア英語版 | Maritime Sign Language
Maritime Sign Language (MSL), is a village sign language〔Carol Padden, ''(Sign language geography )'', UC San Diego〕 derived from British Sign Language and formerly used in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island, Canada.〔 ()〕 It is still remembered by some elderly people (approximately 100 in 2009)〔(Canada's Maritime Sign Language by Yoel, Judith, Ph.D., UNIVERSITY OF MANITOBA , 2009 )〕 but is effectively extinct. The dialect of American Sign Language currently used in the Maritimes exhibits some lexical influence from MSL. ==References==
